He is a giving person and uses his own experiences when teaching. We are lucky that he shares his experience as a worker in the medical field. The laboratory allows us to have simulations and to practice in a real set-up with beds and furniture, just like in real life. CDI College is like a big family. People greet us and we feel welcome. It is possible to develop friendships with our classmates. We spend a lot of time together and get to deal with different types of people, which is good because it prepares us for the future. I would recommend CDI College to everyone. It is personalized and makes for a good learning environment. The schedules are flexible for those who have children.

  • Over and Above

He was always upbeat, excited and passionate about what he teaches. He is a fair teacher and always went over and above what was asked of him. He truly has our best interest at heart. I would say that I was pleasantly surprised to see I would be learning in an E.R. environment. The set-up of the lab was a major inspiration for me to take the course at CDI. I enjoyed the simulations we did with the mannequins.

We always have many activities and willing to try new experiences. We went to Ste-Justine hospital to give presents to sick children. We can bring our own kids to class, which is something I really appreciate. My kids are always asking me to take them with me. I will remember my experience at CDI College for a very long time. I will remember my classmates, my instructor, the director and the staff. I feel like CDI is like my second home. I am happy to be here in the Early Childhood Education program at CDI College and to have met Mrs. Line Angrignon, my instructor.

My instructor made a difference in my education by being actively involved in our training and extracurricular activities. She can keep students motivated and she makes sure that the classes are always interesting and useful. She increases our sense of belonging and always pushes us to do better. Our laboratory (playroom) is really great. It allows us to practice what we learn in class. My experience at CDI College has been fulfilling and I like the sense of belonging that I feel here. The activities in which we participate cater to that sentiment and this makes me want to continue. This is the first time I want to become involved in something that much. The program itself, the instructor and my classmates have helped me grow so much emotionally and psychologically. I have learned to know myself and to go beyond my limits.

  • Learn at Your Pace

Sebastien Robitaille - Programmer Analyst/Internet Solutions Developer - LEA.9C, Laval

Since my instructor is very knowledgeable, he can explain thoroughly what I need to understand if I ask him. Students can learn at their own pace which allowed me to go faster than others. Otherwise, I might have lost interest or motivation. I have taken giant steps for the past 3 months thanks to the quiet atmosphere of the school; without that, homework may not have been that easy. I found certain courses to be more difficult than others maybe because they needed more explaining. But thanks to Daniel Desmeules, my instructor, my learning was easier.

  • Real Life Training

Valerie Turgeon - Early Childhood Education - JEE.13, Laval

The Early Childhood Education program at CDI College is great. We are lucky to welcome children in our classrooms. We are involved in different school events and we are able to create activities for children. Our laboratory has an observation mirror which allows us to observe children and see how the concepts that we learn apply in real life. During the recent open door event, we took care of the children that were on site with their parents and organized different kinds of activities suited for different age groups. Finally, the instructor is always available when we need her.

My instructor was always there for me and for the other girls in the classroom as well. She is a very nice person who is passionate about her field. She is a person with a driven personality who is highly motivated. To top it off, she gives us advice on everyday life as well. As for the rest, the field trips stand out for me. Last December, we went to Ste-Justine Hospital to give presents to children. We have had children in our laboratory at the College and we have also visited some schools in the area. My experience on the campus has been positive. I have always had all my questions answered. CDI College perfectly suits my needs.

  • An Asset for CDI

Charline Ibarra - Early Childhood Education - JEE.13, Laval

My instructor is making a difference in my education in many different ways. I can mention her passion, her concern and her temper. The passion she shows towards children, their well-being and their development. The way she cares about our success and how she wants us to become perfect educators just like her: competent, thoughtful, caring and keen. Just like children, every one of us is unique in their own way and our instructor always makes sure to use different methods and approaches to cater to our needs and get our attention. I love the laboratory adjacent to our classroom. It is the perfect place to practice the skills and the concepts that we learn in class. Under special circumstances, I can also bring my 2 year old son with me and let the other girls in the classroom interact with him. The staff members are thoughtful and competent. I feel supported and know that I can get help if I need it. My instructor plays a key role with my interest in the field and my positive experience at CDI College. • Doing What I Love

Christine Boivin - Early Childhood Education - JEE.13, Laval

I have a Bachelor Degree in Psychology (Early Childhood) and completed a short 2nd cycle university program in Social Intervention. I became a teacher because I was looking to make an important change in my life. A career counselor suggested that I explore teaching since I had great potential and numerous years of experience in the early childhood field. At the end, the career change was a very good move because I take great fun in teaching and I never feel that I am working. I am paid for doing what I love and that is exceptional. I feel blessed and privileged. I inspire my students by being myself. I know that I am able to convey my passion, my resourcefulness and my unconditional love of people in general, and children in particular, by being who I am.

  • New Challenges

Sophie Guilbault - Early Childhood Education - JEE.13, Laval

I have a Diploma of College Studies in Early Childhood Education and I have been a childhood educator in a daycare centre for 13 years. I started teaching because I love my job as a childhood educator and I wanted to set myself new challenges. I inspire my students by being dynamic, by using my sense of humor, by caring and by showing interest in their experiences.

  • Growing together

Line Angrignon - Early Childhood Education - JEE.13, Laval

I have a Diploma of College Studies in Early Childhood Education (Language Stimulation) and I have been in the field of education for over 20 years in schools, day cares and community centres, as either educator, director or consultant. When teaching, my objective is to convey the passion for childhood education that drives me. It is a passion that keeps on growing with time through my interactions with students. This desire to give more and more to my students motivates me to improve my own knowledge so we can all grow together. I inspire my students by having them participate in school activities and contribute to society as much as possible. Whenever possible, I try to have them practice the concepts learned in class. I try to set the bar by being dynamic, by having a sense of humor and by respecting them. I also want to create a sense of belonging and promote self-esteem. I really want them take ownership of their profession, just as I do.

Serge Larcheveque - Financial Management – LEA.AC, Laval

My educational background and work experience are quite unique. I was in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have a Programmer Analyst diploma from CDI College. I am a self-educated expert in accounting/finance and I have been teaching in different fields for more than 16 years now. It was essentially the need to communicate and interact with people as well as passing on knowledge and skills to others that made me want to start a career in teaching. I usually inspire my students through my personal experience by providing them with concrete examples they can relate to in their daily lives.

  • Guidance and support

Kim Charron - Health, Assistance and Nursing (French) - 5325, Laval

You can tell that my instructor loves his job. He has a lot of working experience. He is a great motivator and wants all his students to succeed. • A Dream Fulfilled

Annik Boisseau - Health, Assistance and Nursing (French) - 5325, Laval

I have nothing but good words for Charbel, my instructor. Through the program, he believed in me and helped me gain confidence in myself. When I was down, he would help me see the brighter side of things. He gave me the push I needed to get my diploma. Thanks to him, I was able to roll up my sleeves and double my efforts because I knew I would become a fantastic nurse. The laboratory at CDI College was exactly like an emergency room. You were able to learn as if you had been in the real environment. The different techniques were properly taught and we had the space and the location to learn new skills. I enjoyed my learning experience in the laboratory. On a personal note, I will never forget my experience at CDI College. When I first came here, I was a mother of three, by myself at home and thanks to CDI, I was able to succeed and to get my diploma. I am really proud of myself especially now that my daughter tells me that she wants to become a nurse as well, just like mom. Thanks to everyone at CDI College, I was able to fulfill a dream in which I did not believe anymore.

  • Passion and Respect

Julie Bergeron - Health, Assistance and Nursing (French) - 5325, Laval

My instructor is highly qualified and I appreciate, most of all, his knowledge, his enthusiasm, his expertise and his passion for the profession and his students. He is involved in activities that are not directly related to the nursing field. This shows that many things can be done within the community and it reinforces our own values. It is very rewarding! Having the right equipment and tools is essential when learning. When practicing, we use the same equipment and tools as the people working in hospitals. I would recommend the CDI campus in Laval to everyone. When there is an issue, the staff members handle the situation appropriately and show proper respect to everyone and that is really important to me.

I am satisfied with my experience at CDI College in Laval. I had been well informed about the curriculum and the regulations before I enrolled. It is just like a big family.

  • The Right Choice

Stevem Miruho - Health, Assistance and Nursing (French) - 5325, Laval

Thanks to him, I will be able to successfully complete my training. Practicing is great. The laboratory looks real, as if we were in a hospital. I love being there because it makes me feel proud. My overall experience has been extremely positive. Just to think that I have been able to turn my life around in a year and that I am about to change the life I have with my family and society in general. I live 80 kilometers away from the College but in do not mind spending $80 weekly on gas to go to my classes because I know it is worth it. I have just arrived in Canada (Quebec) but I know I made the right choice when I chose CDI College.

  • Making Connections

Daniel Desmeules - Programmer Analyst/Internet Solutions Developer - LEA.9C, Laval

I have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from UQAM and I have been working in the Programming and Networking field for 18 years. Over time, I realized that I wanted to get people to experience passion for computers. It is a fascinating field which is becoming more and more important in our lives. And teaching is such a rewarding job. I inspire students by making connections with things they already know. For example, I can tell them that the creator of Facebook did exactly the same thing. When you realize that a student understood a complicated concept, you tell yourself that your efforts have been worthwhile.
