Develop planning and troubleshooting skills needed for an IT career in 28 weeks

Calgary, AB – August 10, 2012 – CDI College is launching the Computer Support Technician diploma program at its Calgary City Centre campus. In just 28 weeks, students will learn to plan and troubleshoot computer systems and get their end users back up and running quickly.

According to a recent Computerworld poll of IT executives, companies will significantly invest in IT to strengthen their business in the coming years. This means greater opportunity for those with the combination of IT training and experience.

Students in the Computer Support Technician program explore a range of areas that will enable them to service computer systems and support those who use them. Topics include hardware installation and configuration, basic networking, Windows operating systems, MS Office support, and help desk techniques. Students will also develop skills through hands-on training and put them to use in a practicum placement.

In addition, students will be prepared for industry certification exams for Microsoft and CompTIA. As graduates, they’ll go on to find work as Computer Technicians, Technical Support Specialists, Help Desk Analysts and First-Level Help Desk Troubleshooters.

Applications for the Computer Support Technician program are currently being accepted at the Calgary City Centre campus. For more information, fill out the form on the right.
