CDI College students volunteer time and talent for breast health extravaganza

Edmonton, AB – March 12, 2013 – Once again, the massage therapy students from CDI College’s Edmonton North campus are ready to pitch-in with the fight against breast cancer. On Saturday, March 23, 2013, students will provide massage therapy services to participants of the Bust a Move for Breast Health event, a six-hour exercise marathon taking place at the Edmonton Expo Centre.

Organized by the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Bust a Move for Breast Health is a fun and energetic celebration of breast health. Hundreds of women and men across the province will come together for an unforgettable fitness extravaganza that will have them dancing, singing and laughing along the way. Participants will do a different form of exercise each hour – from yoga to Zumba and everything in between.

In between sessions, the CDI College massage students will serve as official Bust a Move massage therapists, providing 20-minute massages for participants throughout the day. The massage sessions will help soothe any aches and pains and energize participants for the next hour of exercise.

This is the second year in a row that Edmonton North massage therapy students have donated their time and skills to Bust-a-Move for Breast Health. In the past, they have also raised funds for a number of social causes in the city, including The Mustard Seed and the World’s Longest Hockey Game, another event sponsored by the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

In May, the students will lend their support to the Easter Seals Run in Edmonton and the MS Bike Tour in Camrose.
