French - Language and Culture

630 hours
CDI College’s French - Language and Culture program aims to prepare students for the DELF - B2 French Language Studies Diploma Examination from the French Ministry of Education. The French Language Diploma (DELF) is essentially an assessment of French second-language know-how aimed at officially certifying the capacities of students in real situations. The DELF evaluates the four communication skills: oral comprehension, written comprehension, written production, and oral production and interaction.

The French - Language and Culture program offered at CDI College, therefore offers basic training focused on the acquisition of knowledge in oral communication.

Upon completion of the program, the student can:
  • understand the essential content of concrete or abstract subjects in a complex text, including a technical discussion in its speciality;
  • communicate with a degree of spontaneity and ease such as a conversation with a native speaker with no tension for either person;
  • express himself or herself in a clear and detailed manner on a wide range of subjects, express an opinion on a topical subject and explain the advantages and disadvantages of different possibilities.
