Grads from CDI College in Surrey continue tradition of excellence on NDAEB exam

Surrey, BC – August 28, 2013 – The most recent graduates from the Dental Assisting program at CDI College’s Surrey campus have a reason to celebrate once again. The class earned a 100% pass rate on the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) exam written this past June. This is the second 100% pass rate for the campus this year. Graduates also scored highly on the April NDAEB exam.

Scoring a perfect pass rate on the NDAEB exam is not uncommon for CDI College Dental Assisting grads. Since 2009, grads from the Surrey campus have obtained 100% pass rates on the exam 12 times. These results have helped establish the Dental Assisting program’s reputation and high standards.

“This pass rate speaks volumes about the graduates and the Dental Assisting program in Surrey,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for CDI College. “It proves that our grads possess the knowledge, passion and commitment to excel as Certified Dental Assistants. We’re proud of all of them.”

The 45-week Dental Assisting program covers all elements of the profession, including dental care, oral pathology, and radiography. Students learn to assist dentists during patient treatments, perform infection control, assist with practice management, maintain patient records and carry out administrative duties. The program includes both classroom instruction and practical learning experience in the campus dental lab. In addition, students participate in clinical placements, working with a dentist in a private practice.

CDI College’s Dental Assisting program is the only private Dental Assisting program in BC to be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC). Graduates of this program are only required to write the theory exam necessary for licensing.

Along with the Dental Assisting program, CDI College also offers the Dental Receptionist Coordinator and Dental Technician programs at the Surrey campus. Both programs provide the hands-on training students need for these in-demand careers in the dental field.

Applications are currently being accepted for the all of the dental programs at CDI College in Surrey. Learn more about training for a dental career at the upcoming National Open House on September 5, 2013 from 6-8pm. Check in at 5:30 sharp.
