June 8, 2009 | Quebec

In less than a year you could be planning, implementing, and managing a secured network computer system for a large corporation. Tens of thousands of Canadians are already employed in this field and this number is expected to grow even more in the coming years.

CDI College offers an intensive 49-week Network and Internet Security Specialist (NISS) diploma program, with curriculum based on the industry certification requirements of Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco.

Students learn the advanced procedures for installing, configuring and upgrading physical and logical elements on network systems. They also learn to design the technical elements of a network infrastructure and establish network security measures.

The CDI program prepares students for industry certification examinations in seven areas including:  A+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

CDI students develop the technical and analytical abilities needed to succeed in a number of computer networking environments, from small businesses to global organizations. Career opportunities include Network Administrator, System Administrator, Technical Support Specialist, Network Security Specialist and Systems Security Analyst.

Salaries in this occupational group vary, but graduates can expect to earn highly competitive wages.
