Working closely with experienced teachers at CDI College, graduates are prepared to enter this dynamic and growing field in just 49 weeks.
A medical office assistant performs a number of support functions for health practitioners in a range of settings, such as clinics, hospitals, and private practices. At CDI College, students secure the office, clinical and interpersonal skills necessary to keep an organization running smoothly and patients satisfied.
Medicine, like other professions, has its own language. With the Medical Office Assistant–Advanced Practice program, students study the fundamentals of anatomy, body systems, and common pathologies to support an efficient healthcare team, as well as areas for specialization, including endocrinology, neurology, and gynecology.
As the healthcare industry moves away from paper-intensive procedures, the demand for computer skills is on the rise. At CDI College, students build the career-ready computer skills they need to stand out from the hiring pool, including medical billing, transcription and electronic healthcare records.
Designed to keep pace with today’s changing healthcare environment, the program also focuses on advanced skills to prepare graduates for employment outside the traditional medical setting, such as an insurance office. Students also enhance their terminology, billing and clinical training and study patient management, chronic disease management, and mental health care.
Students gain the valuable “real world” know-how sought after by today’s employers through a series of practicum work experiences. With a diploma from CDI College, graduates are prepared for success in a variety jobs including medical office assistant, medical transcriptionist, clinic assistant and much more.
