Richmond Campus of CDI College Now Offering Early Childhood Education Diploma Program

October 13, 2011 | British Columbia

New opportunity for those looking to pursue career working in daycares, preschools

Richmond, BC – October 13, 2011 – One of the most rewarding careers in the education industry is contributing to the early development of infant, toddler and preschool aged children. Whether you’re a daycare worker, community centre programmer, teacher, or caregiver, a formal diploma in early childhood education is a necessary certification of your skills and qualifications.

With enrollment dates starting fall 2011, CDI College’s Richmond campus is the newest location to offer this program in BC. Students are immersed in a skills-rich, 43-week curriculum that includes two mandatory practicum placements within real work environments.

Students will take classes in a wide range of subjects, including program planning, human behavior, communications, healthcare, and language development. As a key role model in the early years of a child’s life, professionals in the ECE field are motivated by the difference they make in a child’s life - early childhood educators have a strong impact on the mental, physical and emotional aspects of human development.

Industry-experienced instructors offer strong guidance in theoretical and practical areas of the ECE field. Smaller class sizes mean that students have more interaction with their peers and with the instructor, as well.

CDI College’s Richmond campus is easily accessible for students traveling within the Metro Vancouver area. Public transportation via SkyTrain or bus, along with ample parking availability, makes it convenient for students to attend classes.
