New iPad initiative prepares grads for changing employment landscape
Vancouver, BC - September 6, 2011 - CDI College campuses across the country will open their doors to the general public on September 14, 2011 for an informative evening about the latest career training strategies. The nationwide open house offers insight into innovative learning techniques for today’s increasingly high-tech workplace.
With CDI College’s new iPad initiative, students at campuses across the country will soon be training for new careers using iPads and e-textbooks. Starting this fall, all students who enroll in one of the college’s business, healthcare or technology programs will receive an iPad when they commence their studies. Through this easy-to-use technology, students will experience enhanced learning ability and increased productivity. Students will also gain more control over the pace of their studies and be able to interact with other students and instructors both inside and outside of the classroom.
"With the arrival of iPads at CDI College, students will graduate with superior technological skills that can be applied to any career they choose to pursue," said Bohdan Bilan, VP of Academics at CDI College. "They’ll also continue to benefit from the hands-on, industry-leading career training that CDI is known for."
The national open house provides an opportunity for students to learn about CDI College programs and how the new iPad initiative can empower them to successfully transition into their new careers. The event will be held on September 14, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
The open house will also feature a social media contest to encourage guests to announce their arrival at the event by checking into foursquare or by posting to CDI College’s Facebook or Twitter profiles. The first ten people to arrive at each campus and check into the event using social media will receive a free CDI College T-shirt and all attendees will be entered into a draw for $100 iTunes gift card.
