CDI College in Winnipeg is holding a Graphic Design Open House

Winnipeg, MB – November 3, 2011 – CDI College’s Winnipeg campus is opening its doors to the public on November 7, 2011 to highlight career options in the graphic design industry.

Running from 6:00 to 7:30pm, the open house is the best place to learn more about the graphic design field, hear about job opportunities, and speak with current students about their academic experience. You’ll also get to view student work and projects so that you have a greater understanding of the kind of work you’ll produce as a graphic designer. The open house will also provide attendees with an opportunity to tour of the school’s classrooms, learning facilities, social areas, and computer labs.

The Graphic Design diploma program is 50 weeks in length and is provides the perfect training for those interested in pursuing a career in arts, media, advertising, publishing, and web development. Graduates leave college with skills and knowledge in the areas of illustration, life drawing, digital photography, web design and advertising design, giving them a well-rounded graphic design background. Students also complete courses in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and learn to build content within Flash applications.

The academic structure of the program is based on industry demands, which means CDI College grads will obtain the exact skills that employers are looking for. Many CDI College graduates go on to positions as graphic designers, web designers and developers, video producers, creative directors, marketing specialists, and digital artists.
