CDI College's Special Care Counselling - JNC.1U program offers extensive training to support individuals of all ages with physical, intellectual, and mental health challenges.

  • Secondary V diploma or its recognized equivalent
  • Successful admission test
  • A person who has received instruction considered sufficient by the college and meets any of the following conditions may be admitted to a program of studies leading to an Attestation of College Studies:

- the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies or pursued full-time postsecondary studies for at least 2 consecutive terms or 1 school year;

- the person is covered by an agreement entered into between the college and an employer or by a government program of studies;

- the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies for one term and pursued full-time postsecondary studies for one term; or

- the person holds a Secondary School Vocational Diploma.

In accordance with section 88.0.18 of the Charter of the French Language (CQLR, c. C-11), section 17 of the Regulation respecting the application of the Act respecting private education, and the Regulation respecting the requirements for knowledge of French necessary for the issuance of a college-level attestation of studies, the student acknowledges that sufficient proficiency in French is a condition for the issuance of a Attestation of College Studies (ACS), where applicable to the student’s program. To meet this requirement, the student must demonstrate French language proficiency corresponding to level 7 in oral production and oral comprehension, and level 4 in written production and written comprehension, on the « Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français », in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. The student may meet this requirement, in particular, by providing valid proof of results from a recognized standardized test or by qualifying under one of the circumstances deemed to satisfy the requirements set out in the regulation.

 

Any student who attends a program delivered in English without holding a certificate of eligibility for instruction in English must have a sufficient level of French proficiency to be eligible to receive an Attestation of College Studies (ACS).
