Do you want a satisfying new career that requires strong technical skills? If so, you might be interested in becoming a dental technician.
These qualified professionals have the training to design and create dentures, implants, and many other dental devices.
You can get an up-close look at what it’s like to work in this field at CDI College’s free Dental Technician Workshop. This special event takes place at CDI College’s Surrey campus on February 19.
“With the aging population and extensive technological advancements in dentistry, dental technicians are in higher demand than ever,” said Hooman Janami, Program Head of Dental Technology, CDI College.
“I encourage anyone who's interested in this exciting career to attend our workshop and learn about what it takes to work as a dental technician, and about the job-ready training we provide to our students,” he said.
At the workshop, you can try techniques like wire-bending and wax carving, hear firsthand from students and instructors, and get all of your questions answered about the Dental Technician diploma program.
Offered by CDI College, the training program is one of only five in Canada recognized by the College of Dental Technicians of BC. It covers everything you’ll need to know to work in dental technology, including key practices and processes, lab equipment, anatomy, and how to create many dental fixtures.
Studying under industry-experienced instructors, you’ll learn about the latest developments in the use of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) in dentistry. Before graduation, you’ll complete two real-world practicum placements, so you can sharpen your new skills.
The 97-week program will also prepare you to write the College of Dental Technicians of BC licensing exam. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to work in dental lab management, dental manufacturing, dental clinics, government labs, and other work environments.
Don’t miss the free Dental Technician Workshop on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 9:30am-2pm. It takes place at the CDI College Surrey campus, 100-11125 124 Street, Surrey, BC.
