Congratulations, Grads: Inside CDI College's July 2026 BC Graduation Ceremony

July 23, 2026 | British Columbia

CDI College celebrated its British Columbia graduates on July 10, 2026, marking the finish line for many students who spent months building the skills for real careers. Family, friends, faculty, and staff filled the room to send this class off with the recognition they earned.

To every graduate: congratulations. You put in the work, and today you get to walk across that stage and call yourself a CDI College graduate.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

With CDI College marking 20 years in the province this year, Graduation Day is much more than a ceremony. It's proof of what's possible when you commit to a program built around real-world skills and hands-on training. This class pushed through coursework, placements, and late nights, and came out the other side ready to build something bigger. The BC job market, and the province as a whole, just got a whole lot stronger for it.

CDI College exists to change lives through education, and days like this are exactly why!

A Special Guest: Paul Choi, MLA for Burnaby

The ceremony welcomed Paul Choi, the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Burnaby South-Metrotown, as guest speaker, and he brought a message built for exactly this moment.

Choi shared his own path from law enforcement to lawmaking, recounting as he experienced a career shift that began with education and ended with countless open doors.

His message to grads was clear: education gives you options. It gives you mobility. It gives you the confidence to lead in rooms you haven't even discovered yet. Choi reminded the class that nobody needs a finished map to move forward. Whether you're walking out with a five-year plan or just your next step, the foundation you built here is enough to start.

For a room full of graduates, standing at their own turning point, it was a fitting reminder that today isn't a finish line, but a launch point for whatever comes next.

Choi also took a gracious moment to present CDI College with a Certificate of Appreciation from the BC provincial government, recognizing the College’s contributions to the province's postsecondary system. He also commended the institution for upholding a high standard of education and helping shape the next generation of BC leaders.

Having an MLA from Metro Vancouver take the time to celebrate this class shows how much career-focused education matters to the communities CDI College serves, right here in the Lower Mainland.
