Surrey, BC – July 4, 2012 – Staff and students of CDI College will be joined by BC’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Kevin Falcon, Mayor Diane Watts and members of the BC Lions football team at the official grand opening of the new Surrey campus on July 17, 2012.
Attendees will also have a chance to check out the facilities, enjoy carnival games and chat with staff and students. Along with the fun and festivities, the campus will also be collecting donations for the Surrey Food Bank, one of the community organizations that CDI College in Surrey has fostered a strong relationship with over the years. Food bank organizers are pleased to be a part of the day.
“Congratulations CDI College on the Grand Opening of your new facility and thank you for your continued support,” says Marilyn Herrmann, Executive Director of the Surrey Food Bank. “The Surrey Food Bank offers food assistance to over 250 families every day and we do this thanks to our amazing community. CDI College has been our generous and faithful partner for many years and we look forward to growing that partnership as CDI College grows.”
Located at 11125 124th Street near the Scott Road Skytrain station, the new campus will allow the college to continue to deliver a range of hands-on career training programs to a larger number of students in the area. Programs are available in art and design, business, healthcare, legal studies and technology.
At the grand opening, attendees will also have the opportunity to apply for a CDI College scholarship! All applicants will be considered by a panel of judges and one will be chosen to receive $5,000 towards the cost of tuition (normal admission requirements apply). The scholarship winner must begin a program by end of September 2012.
The grand opening of CDI College’s new Surrey campus will take place on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The campus is currently accepting applications for all programs. For more information about CDI College, fill out the form on the right.
