October 15, 2013 | Ontario

Hear from renowned author and educator, Kath Murray, about best practices for Personal Support Workers

Ajax, ON
- October 15, 2013 – CDI College is hosting two exciting workshops at its campuses in Ajax and Mississauga. With special presentations from renowned author and educator, Kath Murray, the workshops will focus on the role Personal Support Workers play in providing end of life care for patients in long-term care facilities.

Kath Murray brings 25 years of hospice palliative care experience and 15 years of teaching hospice palliative care strategies to her presentations. Passionate about her career, Kath will share her wisdom with students, grads and prospective students interested in becoming a Personal Support Worker.

Kath will be on campus in Mississauga on October 18, 2013, and in Ajax on October 25, 2013, from 8am-3pm. Presentations will be open to the public from 10am-1pm.

Personal Support Workers provide more than 70% of care for patients in long-term care facilities. Because patients in long-term care are often too sick or frail to return home, they will almost always face the end of their lives while in care. Personal Support Workers must make this experience as comfortable as possible and Kath Murray knows exactly how to do just that.

Part of CDI College’s on-going Education Series, the presentations by Kath Murray will provide students, grads and the general public with a new look at the career path they’re interested in.

Those interested in attending the workshops should RSVP for the city they’ll be attending. Click here to RSVP for Mississauga or click here to RSVP for Ajax! For more information about CDI College, please call 1.877.404.4353 or fill out the form to your right.
