Survey Shows Growth in Canadian IT Hiring

Almost 100 per cent of responses from a business survey said that employers will either increase hiring of IT staff in 2012 or remain at the same level. The survey included 200 companies that showed healthy signs of growth, especially in areas including IT project management, business analysis and infrastructure management, according to ComputerWorld Canada.

"While many people were unsure with how things were going to start off this year, when I look at both our contract and permanent placement positions, so far in 2012 we are well ahead of typical averages," Randstad Technologies President Mike Winterfield told ComputerWorld Canada.

The IT industry continues to witness be a field that has witnessed a steady growth in employment rates in several Canadian provinces. The need for businesses to maintain and upgrade their networks and hardware has helped ensure that IT hiring is still a necessity.
