As a fellow recovering procrastinator, I have made one quote my motto “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today” ~ Benjamin Franklin.
There is a vicious cycle of “I’ll do it tomorrow “and that includes the goals you set for yourself.
How many times have you thought at night I will get up and exercise tomorrow or plan to come home right away after school and complete your homework but then you either sleep in or Netflix beacons to you?
- Set shorter goals that have a realistic time frame.
- Keep a goal journal to track your progress.
- Use the 5-second rule to get out of bed. If you are wake more than 5 secs, get up and get going!
- Have an accountability partner who can be your cheerleader and support each other.
Angeline Gauango is a dedicated Practicum Coordinator who strives to make sure students have a Practicum that suits their program, personality, and needs. She has successfully placed hundreds of students in the 2 years since starting in her position. At a young age, Angeline learned to work hard to educate herself in honour of her deceased parents.
