Vancouver, BC – March 2, 2017 - CDI College campuses across the country participated in Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, February 22 and successfully raised over $4,000 in support of CKNW Orphans’ Fund and Foundation Jasmin Roy’s anti-bullying initiatives.
Staff and students at CDI College participated in special fundraisers, raising money and awareness for this great cause.
“Combating bullying is a cause we’re proud to support,” said Andre Souza, Vice President of Operations at CDI College. “We hope the generosity of our students and staff will have a positive impact.”
The event originated in Nova Scotia in 2007 when two students bought and distributed pink shirts to their peers after they witnessed another male student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school.
Since then, the annual event has become a symbol for anti-bullying campaigns across the country and CDI College is proud to have supported the cause again this year.
This year, CDI College successfully managed to top their previous year’s total donation and aim do the same again in 2018.
