Calgary, AB – January 25, 2016 – Students at CDI College’s Calgary City Centre campus will have a significant advantage in the job market after graduation, thanks to a generous donation of over $150,000 in classroom and computer lab equipment from Amec Foster Wheeler, a British multinational agency that specializes in consultancy, engineering, and project management in the oil and gas industry.Amec Foster Wheeler has extended a kind gesture to show encouragement
towards the next generation by supporting CDI College in its mission to continually
provide a more advanced learning environment to its students.
CDI
College’s programs – whether in business, technology, or others – incorporate
hands-on training in simulated lab settings, which are meticulously designed to
mimic real work environments. Students who enroll in programs such as the Oil
and Gas Administration program will have the opportunity to utilize these labs
and train using the latest industry-standard software and tools.
As part
of their training, students will be able to enhance and hone their skills
through practicum placements, which are included in several of CDI College’s
programs, gaining invaluable work experience in the process.
Thanks to Amec Foster Wheeler’s contribution to
educational development, CDI College’s Oil and Gas Administration students – and
future employees in the
industry – will be armed with the training, tools, knowledge, and skills required
to further their goals individually and as a company.
As a token of appreciation, CDI College’s Calgary City
Centre campus has dedicated its Oil and Gas Administration classroom, sponsored
by Amec Foster Wheeler.
