Computer lab walls decorated with framed certificates
Mississauga, ON – November 29, 2013 – Students in the technology programs at CDI College in Mississauga are not only earning the credentials they need for a career in IT; they’re displaying them for all to see! As students receive external certifications like CompTIA, and Microsoft and other, instructors are encouraging them to proudly hang their certificates in the computer lab.
“The external certifications are an important part of CDI College’s tech programs and they are a pretty big deal to prospective employers, too!” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for CDI College. “Each credential lets employers know that these students have what it takes to be successful on the job.”
Businesses and other organizations will continue to rely on IT, creating a need for well-trained professionals to manage, maintain and upgrade their computer systems and networks. The technology programs at CDI College are designed specifically to help students get started in a career in the growing IT field. Programs include Information Systems Support Specialist, Network and Database Administrator, Network Systems Administrator and Network Systems Engineer. And, depending on their chosen program, students can be ready for the workforce in as little as six months.
Each program prepares students for specific external certification exams for Microsoft, Cisco and CompTIA. Along with the skills they develop in the classroom, students graduate with the fundamental qualifications employers look for when hiring for positions in tech support, network management, database administration and more.
