CDI College’s New Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Specialist Program Now Accepting Applications

Toronto, ON – March 15, 2017 - CDI College is now offering the Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Specialist program in Ontario. The program will provide students with an introduction to AutoCAD software, the fundamentals of drafting and the technical mathematics required to succeed in the field.

Computer-aided design (CAD) tools have become increasingly popular in the fields of architecture and engineering, as well as applications in other areas such as interior design, facilities management, and construction/industry trades.

The increasing adoption of virtual platforms for product development in manufacturing industries is expected to drive the consumption of CAD software. – Future Market Insights 

With this increased popularity comes a greater demand for computer-aided design specialists. To meet these demands, CDI College has developed a program with a heavy emphasis on industry relevant skills and the necessary knowledge required to pursue a successful career.

Using industry standard AutoCAD software, students will develop essential 2D skills before venturing into more complex 3D modeling. There is also a practicum placement in the program, which will allow students to practice and further develop their skills in a real work environment while building valuable experience for their résumé.
