Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Stress can be a a major hindrance when it comes to being productive or cultivating a happy and successful life. Individuals working their way up in an industry have been known to crack under pressure, but by using a few practical tips for managing stress, employees and students can make sure they go about their day in a healthy manner.

To properly handle stress in day-to-day life, be sure to set aside some time for personal reflection, meditation or quiet relaxation. Even starting the day with five minutes of calm yoga or stretching can set the tone for the rest of the day.

"Doing things for stress is the same as brushing your teeth, having a shower and other elements of personal hygiene," mental health adviser Bethany Butzer told the Globe and Mail. "You should do it every day. People say they don't have the time. But I think we can all make time."

Taking care of personal stress is essential for living a balanced life, and it becomes even more important when one works in a fast-paced environment where the pressure can be turned up at a moment's notice, such as in the medical field.

Students who are interested in starting careers in the medical field can enroll in healthcare courses at CDI College. To find out more information, fill out the form on the right.
