Grads from Ajax campus achieve 100% pass rate on recent NACC exam

Ajax, ON – November 7, 2012 – Graduates of the Personal Support Worker program in Ajax obtained a 100% pass rate on the most recent National Association of Career College’s (NACC) Personal Support Worker exam. The NACC exam ensures that graduates meet standards established by the organization to work as personal support workers and personal attendants in Ontario.

“Personal support workers need to be dedicated to their jobs and committed to providing the utmost care to their clients,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, CDI College’s VP of Marketing. “I think this pass rate says a lot about the dedication and commitment these grads will bring to their jobs.

The 24-week Personal Support Worker program helps students hone the skills needed to provide care that improves the quality of living for a wide range of people. They learn about assisting clients with their mobility, medication and personal hygiene. They learn to help those living with chronic conditions, cognitive impairment and mental health issues as well as their families. Interpersonal skills, care planning, safety and abuse are also covered in the program.

With Canada’s aging population creating greater demand for health services, the need for personal support workers will increase. Graduates are now qualified to work in a range of settings including long-term care facilities, home healthcare agencies, retirement homes, hospices, group homes and more.

CDI College is currently accepting applications for the Personal Support Worker program at all campuses in Ontario. For more information, fill out the form on the right or apply online.
