During the Paralegal diploma program, students will develop various technical skills including advanced keyboarding, computer and transcription knowledge, as well as business communication, as well as office administration. Students will also be introduced to criminal law, legal office procedures, criminal procedures, legal communication, and more. Other topics include small claims court, the Canadian civil court structure, and trial objectives. Graduates of the program will have experience in how to efficiently handle responsibilities inside a law office, effectively communicate with clients, and handle cases with professionalism.

The Paralegal program also includes a five-week practicum that allows students to gain hands-on experience in a real job setting. Well-trained paralegal professionals are in demand and graduates will find employment in a wide variety of legal workplaces like legal firms, banks, insurance companies, government offices.
