Winnipeg, MB – October 11, 2011 - CDI College welcomes prospective students to the Addictions & Community Services Worker Open House on October 13, 2011 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at its Winnipeg campus.

Learn more about starting your career in this rewarding field from academic advisors and through an instructor question and answer session. Gain valuable insight on how you can turn the 50-week Addictions and Community Services Worker diploma program into your future career in the community services and healthcare industries.

Students who choose to pursue a career in addictions care and counselling thrive on working one-on-one with clients on a daily basis. Whether they’re working with entire families or individual clients, addictions and community service workers are passionate about helping people find a way to live a healthier lifestyle.

Lloyd Richard, one of CDI College’s Addictions & Community Services program instructors, will be leading the Open House. He has served with the following organizations as a counsellor:

  • Mobile Crisis Unit
  • Occupational Rehab Group of Canada
  • Youth Treatment Worker and Court Case Communicator
  • Behavioral Health Foundation Certified
  • Non Violent Crisis Instructor
  • Counseling Case Management

Refreshments, snacks, and a CDI College T-shirt will be provided for all those who attend the Addictions and Community Services Worker Open House.
