Inspirational Speaker Kevin Brooks Supports New Counter Attack Initiative

June 30, 2009 | British Columbia

June 30, 2009 - Almost a decade ago, Kevin Brooks awoke in a hospital bed, clinging to life, paralyzed from the waist down. Kevin had spent the night partying and drinking with friends and had chosen to drive home - with his best friend Brendan as his passenger. Brendan didn't survive the crash.

Ever since that fateful night, Kevin has taken his story on the road, talking to high school and college students about the realities of drunk driving. His gripping tale has made its way all over North America - he was even featured on an episode of The Tyra Banks Show.

Most recently, Kevin joined forces with British Columbia's Solicitor General Kash Heed, the RCMP and ICBC to announce their new Counter Attack initiative. Counter Attack is a program in British Columbia aimed at curbing drunk driving throughout the province.

CDI College is proud to sponsor Kevin Brooks and his continued efforts to educate young people on the dangers of drinking and driving.
