Admissions Coordinator

The Admissions Coordinator will interface with prospective students, and provide valuable administrative and coordination support to the Admissions Department. This position is responsible for maintaining compliance related to all admissions documents for new student applicants, including reviewing and processing files of new student applicants for completeness, maintaining inquiry, and processing new student transcript requests for evaluation.
 
The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for the following, as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the Company.
1. Contributing to the communication between Admissions team and students through activities such as:
 Greeting visitors and prospective students; referring prospective students to Admissions team.
 Operating switchboard and inbox; receiving incoming calls and emails and transferring them to appropriate offices.
 Calling inquiries, prospective students, and new students as directed (e.g., interview confirmations).
 Preparing external correspondence, including certification of enrollment as requested.
 Generating and mailing all letters to incoming students and maintaining copies in permanent academic files.
 
2. Providing admin support for Admissions Department through activities such as:
 Entering data including student inquiries and applications into the Admissions Information System.
 Processing incoming high school and college transcripts, submitting college transcripts for transfer credit review.
 Tracking academic placement testing for Admissions.
 Reviewing files of new student applicants for completeness, scanning completed files and submitting them to the Records office.
 Creating all permanent academic and financial aid folders (ACs/SFS) as well as computer system records daily.
 Assisting Admissions in preparing for class start with documents needed and inputting HOLDS as needed for incomplete academic files.
 Ensuring that academic records are properly maintained, files are updated, kept in order, and adhere to state, federal and accreditation regulations.
 Preparing and distributing daily, weekly reports to Admissions regarding future class start information.
 Reviewing admissions reports with Campus Director.
 Completing role specific training.
