High-energy, interactive workshop led by iEngage founder Anthony McLean

Mississauga, ON – May 24, 2013 – CDI College will host an iEngage Bullying Prevention workshop at its Mississauga campus on June 5, 2013. Led by iEngage founder and motivational speaker Anthony McLean, the workshop will take an interactive approach to a range of topics from bullying prevention strategies to keeping kids safe online.

“Bullying prevention is a critical issue that our communities face and everyone must be part of the solution,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing. “CDI College is honoured to host Anthony McLean and we’re glad that we can help spread his message.”

Starting out as an actor and CBC Television host, Anthony McLean has used his skills to become a motivational speaker, inspiring students and teachers from Canada to Australia to take a stand against bullying. Combining funny stories, skits and hip hop music, the presentation is designed to empower students, parents and teachers to create safe, positive and inclusive climate in schools. McLean also explores a number of resources for parents to address the topic of bullying with their children, including the knowing the difference between bullying and conflict, how to support a child who is being bullied and addressing social bullying among girls.

The iEngage Bullying Prevention workshop takes place at CDI College in Mississauga on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 12:00-1:00pm. The session is open to the general public and admission is free.
