City Centre director recognized as a leader by Edmontonians Magazine

Edmonton, AB – September 20, 2011 – CDI College congratulates Edmonton City Centre Campus Director Kyle Ferbey on his recognition as one of the city’s top achievers. Edmontonians magazine recently named Ferbey to its Sizzling Twenty under 30 list for 2011.

Now in its tenth year, the Sizzling Twenty under 30 profiles ten men and ten women who have excelled in their career fields.  This year, the list recognizes a group of "dynamic, creative, urban and modern trendsetters" who range from business people, entertainers, healthcare professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs.

In his Edmontonians feature, Ferbey talks a lot about his role as a campus director. In particular, how he works closely with students, staff and business contacts to ensure that anyone who comes to the campus with "a drive to succeed" is successful in the classroom and in the job market.

In addition, Ferbey is also committed to giving back to the city of Edmonton. As a member of the Edmonton Copper Jackets, the official corporate ambassadors for the Edmonton Oilers hockey team, he helps raise funds for the Christmas Bureau and children’s literacy programs. Most recently, he challenged his staff to raise funds for five local Edmonton charities in a friendly Apprentice-style competition.

The staff and faculty will form teams and sell Papa John’s pizza in Edmonton’s downtown core at lunchtime on Friday, September 30, 2011. Each team will represent a specific charity and donate all proceeds raised from the pizza sales to that cause.

“This is our first year hosting an apprentice-style charity event, so we’re excited to get our campus involved in the community and support these great causes,” Ferbey said.
