Montreal, QC - February 8, 2011 - Anyone interested in a career as a graphic designer has a new training option to consider. CDI College in Montréal is now accepting applications for its Graphic Design program.

Graphic designers have come to play crucial roles in the modern economy. Businesses and other organizations rely on them to visually communicate their unique messages, sometimes without using a word. With the advent of the Internet, smartphones and other mobile technology, a graphic designer must be able to design not only for print and publications, but also websites, online advertisements and apps. Today's graphic designers need a well-rounded education that not only nurtures their creativity but also provides them with a specialized knowledge and skill set to meet their clients' unique needs.

In the Graphic Design program at CDI College, students develop a solid foundation in design principles and theory as well as the technical skills to launch successful graphic design careers. Students learn about color theory, life drawing, conceptualization, typography and print publication. They also learn to master the latest industry-standard software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. In addition, they study various aspects of design, from packaging and publication to corporate branding and advertising.

The program also covers web design and dynamic media. By the end of the program, students will have assembled a portfolio that highlights both their creative flair and technical talents.
