Under the supervision of the Campus Director, the Instructor will be responsible for the following:
- Being courteous and behave in a professional manner that fosters mutual assistance whenever he/she is dealing with the students, other employees or faculty members;
- Provide an instruction that complies with the modules and programs objectives and curriculum;
- Prepare the lectures and use various educational practices that fosters students’ success;
- Discuss the student’s progress as well as the group’s progress;
- Explain the courses key objectives and concepts to the students;
- Take part in the development and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials, as required;
- Attending Instructors’ meetings, as required;
- Knowing, understanding and abiding by the employer’s policies and procedures in connection with the students and instructors;

- Perform any other duties required by an immediate supervisor.

- Planifier et prendre part aux activités du campus telles que les journées portes ouvertes et les séances d’information;

CDI College, Winnipeg Campus is currently seeking Practicum Supervisors in the Portage la Prairie, Steibach and Winnipeg area to supervise practicums scheduled at health care facilities within the Portage community.
We are seeking Registered Nurses and LPNs who can contribute to the success of the college and the students. Under general supervision, the Practicum Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical instruction and facilitating student practical learning according to the prescribed curriculum.

Specific Responsibilities
The Practicum Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
- Provide sound ethical clinical supervision and support to learners to enable them in the provision of safe, competent care within their limit of practice and with respect of Host Agency policies, rules and procedures;
- Identify learning opportunities for learners and help them build autonomy and confidence;
- Monitor learners clinical progress and support their practical learning throughout placement;
- Demonstrate responsibility and professionalism when dealing with students, head nurse/team leader, unit staff, and other health professionals;
- Deliver clinical practice instruction/supervision that help learners meets practicum objectives as set out in the curriculum;
- Discuss learners’ progress with them individually;
- Explain the practicum performance expectations to learners at beginning of practicum;
- Inform the Program Coordinator of any significant changes or problems that arise during a practicum;
- Attend Instructors’ meetings, as required;
- Possess a clear understanding of, and upholding, the CDI policies and procedures relating to students and instructors;
- Possess a clear understanding of CLPNM standards and criteria ;
- Cooperate with the administration staff in the performance of their duties;
- Complete required forms and records and submitting them to administration staff in a timely manner;

Specific Responsibilities
The RMT Program Coordinator is responsible for the following:
- Meet the College’s internal standards for quality of education as well as the external standards imposed by regulatory and accrediting bodies i.e. PCTIA and CMTBC.
- Monitor, review and evaluate the educational program and the delivery of the RMT program
- Recruit, hire, and supervise academic, clinical and support staff.
- Ensure all personnel are qualified to the level required by the College’s internal standards of educational quality and are in compliance with the requirements of PCTIA and CMTBC
- With the assistance of instructors create a master schedule for all programming in the RMT program
- Organize and facilitate meetings of instructors, departments re: curriculum; scheduling; PAC.
- Oversee reporting of marks for all courses.
- Maintain up to date copies of course outlines, objectives, lesson plans and course notes.
- Ensure curriculum complies with cross referencing document.
- Review all course evaluations and course synopsis data
- Develop remedial action plans; follow up with continuing problems
- Document College’s fulfillment of accreditation requirements in areas of programming and instructional deliver
