General Qualification

• Respects and understands confidentially and privacy legislation

Summary

CDI Surrey Campus is seeking a part-time Dental Reception Coordinator Instructor. The Instructor will provide instruction and facilitate student learning in the areas of medical and dental fundamentals such as anatomy, physiology, terminology and dental equipment, as well as office-standard programs Students are introduced to office-standard programs and dental office procedures.

General Qualification

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience
  • Certified Dental Assistant licence is considered an asset
  • Degree or Diploma from a recognized University or College relating to the area of instruction
  • Teaching experience and/or possession of an instructor’s certificate is an asset
  • Competent in planning and delivering instructional content
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and group facilitation skills
  • Ability to motivate, engage and inspire students  

Specific Responsibilities

The Dental Reception Coordinator Instructor is responsible for leveraging their expertise and experience to deliver education services to students through:
  • Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum
  • Preparing lesson plans and teaching aids that utilize a variety of teaching methods to promote student success
  • Challenging, engaging, and communicating with students to encourage their participation and learning
  • Monitoring and discussing students’ progress  with them
  • Assigning and posting grades
