General Qualification

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following education, experience and competencies:

•A university degree in business administration or education is required, and five years’ management experience in a private post-secondary environment is ideal

•Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teamwork

•Strong relationship management skills to maintain positive working relationships with staff, students and external stakeholders

•Ability to work independently without direct supervision

•Proven ability to prepare, manage and analyze budgets and financial reports

•Excellent judgment and problem solving skills with ability the to make appropriate decisions under pressure, specifically the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with students and employees

•Excellent attention to detail with a focus on deadlines and overall financial results for the campus

•Ability to manage and thrive in a multitasking environment and commitment to work hours in excess of regular shifts

•Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service

•Ability to exercise considerable independence of action and judgement in all aspects of campus operations, and a high degree of accountability


Specific Responsibilities

The Campus Director will be responsible for:

Staff Responsibilities

•Ensuring adequate staffing for administration and instructional purposes

•Managing staff decisions including recruitment, selection, termination, orientation, training and performance management


Financial Management

•Managing the overall financial results of the campus

•Monitoring business trends in order to develop profit and growth strategies

•Developing campus annual budgets, managing, maintaining and reporting financial information

•Approving purchase orders for day-to-day operational items Admissions and Student Management

•Conducting student orientations, ensuring sign-off of acknowledgement form

•Authorizing new student enrolments and financial conditions


Academics

•Ensuring adequate number of start dates for new programs

•Coordinating and scheduling instructors, classrooms, class assignments and related supplies and equipment

•Providing input into curriculum design and development


Compliance

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, government agencies, policies and procedures

•Overseeing and monitoring submissions
