General Qualification

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education, Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • 4 years of proven sales performance history.  Experience in a recruitment agency or post-secondary admission is desirable
  • Office administration experience
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently and ethically
  • Respects and understands confidentially and privacy legislation 

Specific Responsibilities

The Admissions Representative’s responsibilities may include: 
  • Responding to inquiries from potential students 
  • Promoting the programs and services of the college
  • Interviewing potential students while helping them to identify their interests and goals
  • Completing and following up with the student enrollment process

Summary

CDI College is seeking an ASIST Instructor to teach suicide first-aid intervention skills. This is a casual, weekend position.

General Qualification

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
  • Must have completed ASIST Training for Trainers (T4T)
  • Have experience instructing or presenting ASIST workshops
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and group facilitation skills

Specific Responsibilities

The Instructor is responsible for the following:
  • Deliver the core features of the ASIST workshop
  • Build comfort and understanding around suicide and suicide intervention
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching aids that utilize a variety of teaching methods to promote participants’ success       
  • Challenging, engaging, and communicating with students to encourage their participation and learning
  • Monitoring and discussing students’ progress  with them
